I no longer have the telephoto I used for this shot, as it was stolen along with the camera used. In fact, I seldom used that lens. But, I have a memory preserved because I had it on the night I needed it. As much as I love this cityscape in color, this mono version is one that I consider to be one of my finer efforts.

A special thanks to Ron and Sharon Mouser as they invited me to shoot from the bucket of Lubbock's Ladder Truck #1 at the Cowboy Symposium in 2018.
I have a lot of patience when shooting - about ten seconds on average. But, it is something I'm trying to change.
Several years ago, I captured this image near Fort Sumner by waiting a little longer than usual to get the second shot. Simply waiting a few minutes allowed the sky to change dramatically, giving me a very different, but memorable image.
From now on, patience it is. Maybe. Even if I can't promise myself I'll do this, I do recommend it highly.
