Rarest Bear of All
There is so much going on with this capture. First, I happen to catch a crashing wave that so clearly resembles a bear. Second, high up on the cliff face, a rock shaped very much like a bear, looks out to sea. Third, even though my last name has an unexplained extra letter in it, the pronunciation is 'bear'. There is more to the story.
Anticipating a strong weather change in the next hour, my shooting partner suggested I make my way to a nearby cliff location he remembers while he consults his weather app for our next shooting location. A few minutes later he comes up and tells me he's found a place for us to go, and asks if I've gotten the shots I wanted. For whatever reason, I told him I needed to take just a few more, and this capture happened two clicks later. Oh, the story is not yet over.
Several years ago, looking for the shortest domain name possible, I choose 2oso.com. Not only was the name short, it stands for '2 bears' in Spanish. With all of this said, it pretty much stands to reason that this will always be my signature image.
