Scott Kelby, and James Clinich threw a party in Lubbock recently for a few of their select friends. This mural is typical of the unusual things a photographer may find on a photowalk such as this, and without a doubt in my mind, this should qualify as unusual!
Before I begin an exercise like the Kelby Photowalk, I try to clear my mind, hoping that will help me see something unusual. I like the freedom this gives me to turn here, turn there or simply stand in a spot and just look around. Approaching an intersection that would force me to turn left or right, I almost missed this scene right in front of me.
I really like the freedom of the tree as it overlays the strict patterns of the metal wall covering and the cinder blocks below. Like me, the tree seemed to be searching for a new direction.
